Short term closure of the Honoré-Mercier Bridge towards Montréal

MERCIER, QC, June 22, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l'Électrification des transports wishes to inform road users that the left lane on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge towards Montréal is closed.

This closure is required to carry out repair work after a collapse of the slab that occurred today. The right lane will remain open to traffic. The repairs will continue until tomorrow, Thursday, June 23rd in the morning. The exact time of the reopening will be confirmed as the work progresses.

Between 2016 and 2018, about $4.7 billion will be invested by the ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l'Électrification des transports in the road network, and there will be about 2 100 construction sites throughout Québec. To plan your trips and find out about current and projected traffic hindrance, consult the Mobility Montréal section of the Québec511.info website. Respecting road signs is vital for the safety of road users and workers.
