Sharp Joins the One-Blue Licensing Program for Blu-ray Disc™

NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - One-Blue today announced that Sharp Corporation (Sharp) has joined the One-Blue product licensing program as a licensor. Sharp brings important patents essential to the Blu-ray Disc™ standard and joins current licensors Cyberlink, Dell, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi, JVC Kenwood, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sony, Taiyo Yuden and Yamaha.

Any holder of patents essential to optical formats used in Blu-ray Disc™ products is invited to submit patents for evaluation and join the licensing program as a new licensor.
