MONTREAL, Sept. 13, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - In occasion of the week In town without my car, (En ville sans ma voiture), Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 11am to 3pm, come and take possession of the Shamrock street and participate in the giant picnic at Little Italy (in case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, September 22) !
The Soder, the Corporation de gestion des marchés publics of Montreal, the SDC Petite-Italie Marché Jean-Talon, with the precious financial support of National Bank and in partnership with the AMT and the borough of Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, invite you to an event that, at its third year, hosts thousands of people.
The organizers plan to increase the citizens' participation by inviting them to use public and sustainable transport. By bike, on foot, skateboard, carpool, bus, subway or train ... the range of sustainable transport available in Montreal attracts more and more people each year, but there is still a lot of work to do. The program is very tempting : a giant picnic on a 6000 square feet grass field, public tasting of Italian specialties and local products, family activities and animation for kids, soccer fields, two musical scenes, Information kiosks, bouquinistes, etc. For more information : www.petiteitalie.com
