Sears.ca starts Boxing Week on Christmas Day

TORONTO, Dec. 23 /CNW/ - Sears Canada (TSX: SCC) is making it easier for Canadians to save time and money on Boxing Day by matching prices on the most popular post-Christmas categories in the store. This includes home electronics, small and major appliances, decorations, hardware, home décor, furniture and mattresses, apparel and fashion accessories. Sears is already promoting huge price reductions and "Can't be Beat" low prices in its special full-size 24-page flyer being distributed to households across Canada. However, if a retail competitor in Canada happens to advertise an item available in store and not limited in time or quantity, Sears will match the price. A few exceptions apply and details are in store.

"Boxing Day is the most anticipated shopping day of the year in Canada," said Dene Rogers, President and CEO, Sears Canada Inc. "This year, Sears has the deals that Canadians are seeking, including three full pages of televisions, home theatre and electronics, four full pages of major appliances, ten pages of fashions, home fashions and accessories and several limited-quantity and one-day-only specials from across the store. With Sears price-match policy, Canadians can do all their shopping in one convenient location, saving time and money. In addition, most Sears locations across Canada will be opening their doors at 6 a.m. to ensure that customers get the most out of their Boxing Day experience."
