Scotiabank Changes Mortgage Rates

TORONTO, April 13 /CNW/ - Scotiabank announced today the following changes in the Bank's posted residential mortgage interest rates, effective April 14, 2010:

    -  six-month flexible closed  4.90 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  two-year closed            4.20 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  three-year closed          4.75 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  four-year closed           5.59 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  five-year closed           6.10 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  seven-year closed          6.85 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  ten-year closed            7.20 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)

Scotiabank offers the following special discounted rates(*) on residential mortgages:

    -  one-year fixed closed      2.49 per cent  (no change)
    -  five-year fixed closed     4.70 per cent  (increases by 0.25 per cent)
