New courses available through the SafeSchools and SafePersonnel Online Staff Training Systems help organizations comply with health and safety awareness training by July 1 deadline
CINCINNATI, May 7, 2014 /CNW/ - To help Ontario schools, municipalities, cities and businesses meet Ontario Regulation 297/13 under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Scenario Learning announces the development of three new courses for the SafeSchools and SafePersonnel Online Staff Training Systems.
The OHSA initiative requires health and safety awareness training for every worker and supervisor in Ontario by July 1, 2014. The three courses added to the SafeSchools and SafePersonnel Online Staff Training Systems are market-specific and include:
- Health and Safety Awareness for Staff: Addresses a number of workplace safety issues that are common in many work environments.
- Health and Safety Training for Supervisors: Explores the supervisor's role in safety, as well as how to effectively apply best practices to ensure everyone's safety in the workplace.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS): Covers identifying, managing and controlling common workplace hazards.
