TORONTO, Oct. 16, 2015 /CNW/ - On Saturday, October 17, the 2015 Scarborough Walk of Fame (SWOF) inductees will be celebrated at a public unveiling ceremony held at the Scarborough Town Centre. Attended by Mayor John Tory and hosted by Canadian actor and comedian Colin Mochrie (best known for his role in Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and actress, comedian, and former SWOF inductee, Deb McGrath, guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with inductees and enjoy performances by community youth groups.
Now in its seventh year, SWOF is a not-for-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to honouring citizens whose extraordinary contributions garner community pride. This year, the unveiling ceremony will be presented jointly by the Scarborough Walk of Fame and The Scarborough Hospital Foundation.

Later in the evening, The Scarborough Hospital Foundation in partnership with the Scarborough Walk of Fame will host the inaugural Kaleidoscope Ball. The Ball, a ticketed, star-studded gala, will raise funds to support the Diagnostic Imaging department at The Scarborough Hospital. The theme of the Ball, Diversity Shines Bright, celebrates the more than 47 nationalities that make up Scarborough. The 2015 Walk of Fame inductees will be the evening's guests of honour, among other dignitaries, past inductees, and local celebrities.
