Savor the Sweet Taste of Spring at the 2016

Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival

TORONTO, Feb. 24, 2016 /CNW/ - There's no better way to celebrate the arrival of Spring than with a trip to the Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival, taking place this year, March 5April 3.

There are now four locations in our region where visitors can take part in maple syrup festivities for the whole family; the Kortright Centre for Conservation in Vaughan, Bruce's Mill Conservation Area in Stouffville, Terra Cotta Conservation Area in Halton Hills and new this year – Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville.

The back-to-nature experience starts the moment you arrive at each unique location. Weekend and March Break (March 12 – 20) activities include sugarbush demonstrations, maple syrup sampling, wagon rides and other family fun events. Delicious pancakes with fresh maple syrup can also be purchased at all locations. New this year at Bruce's Mill is TreeWalk Village – an opportunity for kids to explore the forest in exciting ways and a zip line through the trees is also available for an extra cost. As well, tickets now can be purchased online.

As it does every year, the Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival supports the work of Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) and Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) to help people understand, enjoy and look after the natural environment.

Tickets purchased from the website allow for unlimited general admission to all four festival locations. Hours and activities vary. For a complete schedule of events and prices, please visit
