Sapsucker sustainable packaged water the belle of the Earth Ball
TORONTO, April 22, 2016 /CNW/ - (In time for Earth Day) - The Lower Valley Beverage Company is pleased to announce that Sapsucker, a maple tree filtered water, will enjoy some notoriety at this year's Earth Ball, Earth Day Canada's annual fundraiser. Not only will Sapsucker be served up for the festivity's guests - Chefs Stadtländer, Boehmer and Khadka will be using the maple water as an ingredient in producing the evening's 'From the Earth Menu.'
Charlene McGlaughlin, Co-Founder of LVBC for Sapsucker says the Earth Ball is the perfect venue for its sustainable and unique alternative to bottled water. "Our goal is to be the lowest impact packaged water available on the market today while providing naturally pure maple water that is a perfect complement to any meal," she says. "What better way to show our commitment to sustainability than an event that brings together so many like-minded individuals."
Sapsucker is harvested from well-cared for maple forests rather than from aquifers, she explains. "The water each tree gives us originates as rain and ambient moisture in the air and soil."
