Building on landmark city activations in Seoul, London, Singapore and New York, Samsung Global Galaxy Studios launches tomorrow at CF Sherway Gardens
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 22, 2015 /CNW/ - Samsung Electronics Canada today announced the opening of the first Canadian Samsung Galaxy Studio from October 23 to November 8, 2015. Building on successful executions in London, Seoul, Singapore and New York, the Global Galaxy Studio is the latest in a series of interactive, pop-up product experiences designed to bring Samsung's latest innovative technologies to life, including the recently launched Gear S2, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note5.
At the Global Galaxy Studio, visitors are invited to experience first-hand the added fun, convenience and possibilities to get close to their passions in music, sport and gaming by learning about key features and create personalized content by utilizing new product offerings and applications. The studio features a hands-on product showcase and concierge highlighted by the new Gear S2 wearable smartwatch. Consumers will also be engaged through an immersive Gear VR multimedia viewing experience, Sound Camp mixing stations using the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5, Photo GIF and badge making using the Note5, and Samsung Smart Switch station to help customers easily transfer existing data to their new Samsung devices.
"The Samsung Global Galaxy Studio has been a hit with consumers in other major cities, and we are extremely excited to be bringing the experience and brand to life in Toronto," said Mark Childs, Chief Brand Officer at Samsung Electronics Canada. "The interactive Studio will get Canadians closer to immersive mobile experiences through Samsung's innovative technologies.
While the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5 will be present, at the centre of the Global Galaxy Studio will be the recently-launched Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch, which helps you find time for the things that matter to you. The Gear S2 comes in an all new versatile, circular design with an intuitive, custom UX and advanced features that enable users to enhance, personalize and bring more fun to their mobile experience. The unique rotating bezel, along with the Home and Back buttons, ensures users will have a quicker, more precise method to comfortably access notifications and applications.
Introduced in two different options – the Gear S2 and the Gear S2 classic – the smartwatch was designed to appeal to two distinct consumer preferences. The Gear S2 classic is ideal for Canadians who prefer a more timeless watch design, offering an elegant black finish with a matching leather band. The Gear S2 is ideal for those who are on-the-go and have an admiration for minimal and modern design.
To celebrate the opening of the Samsung Global Galaxy Studio, multi JUNO award-winning rock band Arkells will be performing an, acoustic show on Friday, October 23 at 5:00 p.m. at the Samsung Global Galaxy Studio and consumers are invited to come down for the free performance.
