According to a recent survey conducted by Vision Critical, 42% of Canadians surveyed prefer carbonated water to still water and 50% say that summer is their favourite season to enjoy sparkling water. With the summer quickly approaching, Samsung is thrilled to quench the thirst of Canadian sparkling water drinkers by launching the Samsung Four-Door Refrigerator with Automatic Sparkling Water.

For the 64% of respondents who prefer their sparkling water lightly carbonated, Samsung's Four-Door Refrigerator with Automatic Sparkling Water provides three different levels of carbonation and SodaStream offers a variety of flavourings that consumers can add to their water once poured. 55% of Canadians are unaware that in-home carbonation products exist and 29% would drink more sparkling water with access to this technology. • 1 in 4 (26%) Canadians would buy a refrigerator that dispensed both still and sparkling water

About the Poll

From April 9th to April 11th, 2013, an online survey was conducted among 3,018 randomly selected Canadian adults who are Angus Reid Forum panelists. Out of the full base, 1044 respondents are carbonated water drinkers (i.e. those that drink it often or sometimes). The margin of error on the full base —which measures sampling variability—is +/- 1.6%, 19 times out of 20. The results have been statistically weighted according to education, age, gender and region (and in Quebec language) Census data to ensure a sample representative of the entire adult population of Canada. Discrepancies in or between totals are due to rounding.
