Ryan Cunningham joins Avison Young in Mississauga
Leading GTA West industrial player becomes Principal
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 11, 2014 /CNW/ - Martin Dockrill, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Toronto West region, announced today that Ryan Cunningham, one of the Greater Toronto Area's (GTA) foremost young leaders, has joined Avison Young in Mississauga.
Effective immediately, Cunningham, an 11-year industry veteran, joins Avison Young as a Principal and will continue to specialize in industrial real estate. His primary initiative will be to assist in the continued growth of Avison Young's industrial platform in the GTA. Cunningham was most recently a Vice-President with CBRE in Toronto West.

Cunningham began his real estate career in 2004 with CBRE. His past and current clients include Alcan Aluminum, Estée Lauder, Leon's Furniture, Magna International, Mitsubishi, UAP Auto Parts, Flags Unlimited, Rabba Fine Foods, KingSett Capital, Bentall Kennedy, and Sorbara among others. Cunningham was one of the youngest people in CBRE brokerage history to achieve the Toronto West Top 10 award, and was honoured with Orlando Corporation's Broker of the Year Award for 2012. In addition, in 2012, Cunningham was part of the team that won the GTA NAIOP REX (Real Estate Excellence) Award for Industrial Development of the Year.
Also joining Avison Young from CBRE is Charmaine Brooks. During her 18-year tenure at CBRE, Brooks held various administration and marketing roles. At Avison Young, she will serve as a client services co-ordinator in the Mississauga office.
Over the past five years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 58 offices and from 300 to more than 1,500 real estate professionals across Canada, the U.S., and in Europe.
Today's announcement comes on the heels of Avison Young opening a new office in Fairfield/Westchester in the New York Tri-State area on Monday.
