Showcasing breakout musicians that inspire new sound and individual style, the campaign includes: bülow, Charlotte Day Wilson, Killy and Langston Francis. The official 2018 Sweatstyle collection will be available in-store and online in August.

In its fourth year running, Sweatstyle is part of Roots long-standing tradition of supporting arts and culture. The campaign shines a light on emerging talent, giving them the recognition and support they deserve. For the 2018 campaign, Roots is celebrating musical talent and individuality, with a curated roster of Canadian musicians that have a diverse sound and unique personal style. This year's campaign builds on previous Sweatstyle initiatives that featured acclaimed musicians including: Brett Kissel, Charlotte Cardin, Daniel Caesar, Jessie Reyez, k-os and Ruth B.
Roots launch of its 2018 Sweatstyle campaign marks its 45th anniversary. Inspired by the rugged beauty of Algonquin Park and cityscapes across Canada, Roots has been bringing cabin-inspired style to city living for more than four decades with a philosophy that clothes should feel as good as they look.

Megan Bülow never expected her anti-romance anthem, "Not A Love Song", to catapult her into the spotlight before she'd even finished high school. bülow (who goes by her surname) arrived at a writing session two years ago with a chorus she'd recorded on her phone, but it wasn't until a year later that the song was finished and went viral. She had no idea when she was discovered at a summer camp a few years earlier that this is where she'd end up. Writing her first song at age eight and busking all over London by eleven, her youthful tenacity has carried through to her EPs Damaged Vol. 1 and Damaged Vol. 2. With its intricately woven electro-pop, her music captures that youthful combination of exuberance and anxiety. This fall, bülow will be performing throughout North America including a headlining concert at Toronto's famed Mod Club on September 8.
Charlotte Day Wilson
Charlotte Day Wilson is a vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto. With roots ranging from R&B to folk, her soulful voice and timeless sound garnered global attention with the 2016 release of her debut EP CDW. She returned in 2018 with her EP Stone Woman, marking a new chapter defined by clarity, vulnerability and strength. It is a clear statement of intent, a stirring demonstration of her power, poise and certain emergence as an essential voice in 2018 and beyond. Charlotte supported the EP with sold-out tours of North America and Europe, including two shows at Toronto's legendary Danforth Music Hall. Following the success of Stone Woman, she is currently working on material for her debut full length, slated for 2019.
KILLY is a recording artist and songwriter from Toronto who has established a dedicated fan base with his untraditional releases and trailblazing intuition. Raised in a Filipino and Bajan household, he burst onto the rap scene with his 2017 breakout single, "Killamonjaro", and fans have been down for the journey ever since. Generating millions of plays and performing at international sold-out shows, KILLY has carried the momentum single after single and recently released his highly anticipated debut project, Surrender Your Soul. In addition to this release, 2018 has included a headlining, sold-out Canadian tour and a Surrender Your Soul World Tour.
Toronto's Kensington Market is the creative backdrop that is home to up-and-coming artist Langston Francis. Langston grew up in a world of vintage boutiques and art spaces, accompanied by the sounds of hip hop, electronica and jazz. Langston's artistic drive propelled him into becoming a skilled performer at a young age, taking it upon himself to learn multiple instruments. In the studio, where he feels most at home, he honed his distinct voice and prolific songwriting, playing with pitches and chord progressions while creating his unique aural footprint heard in his debut "FCKD IT UP" and current single "Fall From Grace."
