RIMOWA Lands First Flagship Store in Canada

Fashion Forward Luggage Ready For Space Travel

TORONTO, Jan. 20 /CNW/ - RIMOWA, Germany's luxury luggage-maker, today opens its first flagship store in Canada to showcase its "Salsa Air" line, the world's premier ultra-lightweight luggage.

RIMOWA invented polycarbonate luggage and is renowned for its trademark ribbed-design aluminum cases.

The European inspired store, situated at 101 Bloor Street West showcases the company's entire collection of luggage styles. Featured is the new "Salsa Air" line created to exceed the demands of today's international travelers and transportation systems. It is one of the most-durable and secure luggage lines on the planet.

RIMOWA's 100% polycarbonate "Salsa" series of cases have been certified for safety and durability by the TUV Rheinland Product Safety GmbH in 2004 and 2005. Pro-K, an industry association, recently named the new "Salsa Air" as Product of the Year for 2010.

This is the first flagship store for RIMOWA in Canada and comes a year after the launch of the company's first North American manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario.
