Innovative luggage options that meet the latest airline restrictions
TORONTO, Jan. 14 /CNW/ - Airline travel to the US in 2010 is not going to be as simple as packing a bag and taking off. The recent announcement by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority's (CATSA), outlining the latest carry-on luggage restrictions means it will require planning and the right equipment.
While the latest carry-on stipulations may be limiting, the options are not.
RIMOWA, Germany's luxury luggage-maker, offers several solutions, two of which are carry-on bags that meet the new restrictions - the Notebook Case S and Flight Bag - both from the company's unique nine-piece Bolero line.
Each Bolero piece serves a specific function and is made of light-weight highly durable polycarbonate featuring an additional outside pocket. The pocket ensures that travel documents or magazines can be stowed in an instant.
With ample room both inside and out, the carry-on pieces are stackable and can be combined with checked items to maximize convenience for travellers.
"Our customers not only rely on us to meet their luggage needs from a style and durability standpoint, they also need solutions that will work under the current restrictions and regulations," said Carsten Kulcke, Executive Vice President of RIMOWA North America. "The design and technology behind each of our luggage lines mean travellers can easily pack within the new regulations while maintaining style and functionality."
In addition to durability, all RIMOWA's luggage is equipped with certified combination locks with combined closing cylinders, which can be opened for inspection purposes by the American Transportation Security Administration (TSA) upon arrival in the USA.
