TORONTO, Oct. 5, 2017 /CNW/ - Ricoh Canada Inc. today announced its support for the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up (GCSC) for the third consecutive year. Ricoh Canada employees from across the country will be participating in a national cleanup effort to clear litter from Canada's shorelines.
The GCSC is national program that empowers partners to engage in actively protecting the natural environments in Canada. As a national partner of the GCSC, Ricoh Canada is part of the largest direct action environmental program in Canada.
Since partnering with the GCSC in 2015, Ricoh Canada has cleared over 6,800 pounds of litter from lakes, ponds and shorelines across Canada. "Our ongoing support for the GCSC reflects our commitment to Environmental Sustainability and preserving Canada's natural environment and habitats." says Eric Fletcher, VP of Marketing. "Over the past few years our organization has created dedicated regional teams responsible for organizing local cleanup events bi-annually. These events are a great opportunity for employees to collectively make a difference by preserving the natural environments for wildlife in their local areas."
