STAPLES Canada donates over $400,000 to participating schools, while lowering prices on hundreds of ink/toner cartridges
RICHMOND HILL, ON, May 19 /CNW/ - STAPLES Canada has lowered prices on over 350 ink and toner cartridges in stores across the country. The price drop of up to 21% impacts brands such as HP, Lexmark, Canon and Brother.
"We are continuing to prove to our customers that we are committed to offering the lowest prices. Year-round, we lower our prices on a wide selection of products," said Pete Gibel, vice-president of merchandising for STAPLES Canada.
While buying new ink and toner, customers can also drop off their used cartridges for recycling. Every STAPLES store in Canada collects and recycles used ink and toner cartridges as part of their Recycle For Education program, and donates funds back to participating Canadian schools.
This year, the retailer has donated over $400,000 to 1,500 participating elementary and secondary schools as part of the Recycle For Education program. "We know how much schools rely on us for help and we feel it's important to give back. That's why, the STAPLES gift cards help outfit classrooms with the supplies they need," Gibel said.
STAPLES Canada stands proudly behind their low price guarantee by price matching with an additional ten percent off on any identical item advertised elsewhere at a lower price.
