Report Release: The Cost of Wasting Water

Environmental Defence to release report on household water use in the Great Lakes at the Great Lakes United Tall Ships Challenge

    WHAT:     Environmental Defence will release a report on the potential
              for water conservation in the Great Lakes basin at the Redpath
              Toronto Waterfront Festival Great Lakes United Tall Ships
              Challenge. The report, Down the Drain: Water Conservation in
              the Great Lakes Basin, examines the amount of water being
              wasted every year through household use, and potential savings
              through water conservation in the Great Lakes.

              10:30 a.m. - Distribution of report summary
              10:35 a.m. - Mike Layton, Deputy Outreach Director,
              Environmental Defence, discusses the relevant findings of the
              report.
              10:45 a.m. - Derek Stack, Great Lakes United, discusses the
              Great Lakes United Tall Ships Challenge.

              By car: Park in the south side of Queen's Quay West, east side
              of lower Spadina Ave. Parking is east on north side of Queen's
              Quay.
