TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - The Fallen is a new, interactive free iPad App commemorating Canadians who have died in our wars. The App lets users explore maps of Canada, Europe and the world to see where 118,000 fallen Canadians are buried and to search by name, location or branch of the Forces. Friends and family can also add to the shared information.
"Behind every poppy is a story," say Sonia Chai and Tim Robertson who created the App. "The Fallen is an experiment in unfreezing time for all Canadians. Because to remember is to honour and we want the memories of The Fallen to live on."
"Everyone should remember in their own way. The Fallen is a new way to remember for a new generation. Not just for Remembrance Day, but ongoing. "
