Register online now to train at the National Theatre School

Application deadline: January 31, 2014

MONTREAL, Dec. 10, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The National Theatre School of Canada (NTS) is presently accepting online applications for its September 2014 intake. Dedicated and persevering individuals who wish to immerse themselves in the world of theatre and build a life in the performing arts, have until January 31, 2014 to apply to one of the NTS's five professional training programs: Acting, Playwriting, Directing, Set and Costume Design, and Production.

Under the artistic leadership of Alisa Palmer, the NTS intends to cultivate mature, courageous, capable and committed artists, willing to take risks. The aspiration is to put forward a generation of Canadian theatre artists who are literate, curious, powerful, and brave, and who will form the future of Canadian culture.

Three top reasons to choose the NTS:

  1. Small cohorts (2 to 12 students depending on the program), which ensures highly individualized instruction;
  2. Training provided by professionals who are recognized and active in the theatre community; students can thereby forge beneficial ties with over 260 professionals who are shaping today's theatre practice;
  3. Practical training that emphasizes the interdependence of the theatre crafts, all taught at the NTS.
