Allergy relief brand to help allergy sufferers share how they really feel
TORONTO, April 23, 2018 /CNW/ - Nearly half of Canadian adults report being affected by seasonal or year-round allergies, according to a new study conducted by REACTINE®. Not only is half the population suffering, but the results reveal most allergy sufferers feel their symptoms have a negative impact on their emotional wellbeing.
That's why, beyond providing physical relief, REACTINE® is going a step further and has submitted a formal proposal to the Unicode Consortium, the governing organization of emoji creation, for the first-ever "Allergy Feels" emoji.

A Case for The Allergy Emoji: Key Findings from the 2018 Reactine Allergy Field Report

- Pollen and Hay Fever are the leading cause of allergies in Canada. The figures for both allergens have increased significantly between 2011 and 2017, causing those who suffer from allergies to experience even more severe symptoms
- Those surveyed report that allergies have a negative impact on their lives. Women are more likely to note the impact of allergies than men. Negative impacts include not feeling rested, interrupted sleep and not going outdoors
- The highest negative impact reported by 66% of respondents was allergies having an impact on sufferer's ability to sleep
- Younger Canadians note allergies have an impact on their concentration, and their productivity at both work and home
