/R E P E A T -- Public Service Announcement - RCAF to conduct flybys as part of Canada Day celebrations/

WINNIPEG, June 29, 2017 /CNW/ - The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) will conduct flybys as part of several Canada Day celebrations across the province of Alberta on July 1st. These will be carried out by aircraft from RCAF Wings throughout Canada, and will be done at various times throughout the day.

Flybys will take place in communities in:

	• Athabasca	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Beaumont	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Calgary	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Cold Lake	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Fort Saskatchewan	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Hinton	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Jasper	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Leduc	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Lloydminster	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Mannville	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Provost	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Sherwood Park	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Spruce Grove	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• St. Albert	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Stony Plain	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Strathcona County	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Taber	Two CF-188 Hornets
	• Two Hills	Two CF-188 Hornets

During the flybys, the aircraft will fly at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle in their path. Royal Canadian Air Force flybys, requested by organizers of special events, are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times. Aircraft participation is subject to weather and operational requirements.
