TORONTO, Dec. 14, 2010 /CNW/ - Starting January 1, 2011, GO Transit will be making changes to many of its bus schedules in the Georgetown corridor. These changes will accommodate passenger demand and better reflect actual travel times.
Additional trips servicing Union Station, Bramalea GO Station, Malton GO Station and Brampton Bus Terminal have been added due to increased ridership.
In many cases, bus routes within the Georgetown corridor are being adjusted 5-15 minutes earlier to better reflect actual travel times. Passengers are encouraged to refer to their schedules online at gotransit.com/schedules.
Highlights of Georgetown GO Bus service changes:
- Georgetown GO Bus
- A new weekday eastbound trip will depart the Bramalea GO Station
at 12:20 p.m., serve Malton GO Station at 12:30, and arrive at the
Union Station GO Bus Terminal at 1:00. Two new weekday westbound
trips will depart Union at 1:00 p.m. and 9:15, and run express to
the Malton and Bramalea GO Stations.
- Three new weekday westbound trips will depart Union at 11:20 a.m.,
12:20 p.m. and 1:20, run express to Brampton (Steeles &
Rutherford) and then serve all stops to the Brampton Bus Terminal.
- The weekday westbound 12:50 p.m. trip from Union to the Brampton
Bus Terminal will be extended to the Georgetown GO Station.
- There will also be earlier departures on many trips so be sure to
check the new schedule.
- Brampton Trinity Common GO Bus
- There will be earlier departures on most eastbound trips, earlier
departures on some westbound trips, and some times have been
adjusted to better reflect typical travel times.
- Orangeville GO Bus
- Accessible bus service will now be available to Orangeville GO Bus
passengers. Departure and travel times have been adjusted (5-13
minutes earlier on most southbound trips and some adjustments to
northbound trips) to reflect the additional time required to
provide accessible service. Please check the schedule for detailed
information on these adjustments.
- Bolton-Hwy 27 GO Bus & Bolton-Hwy 50 GO Bus
- There will be earlier departures on most trips and some times have
been adjusted to better reflect typical travel times.
