MONTREAL, July 4, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Cyclists at every skill level are invited to take part in the 23rd MS Bike Tour presented by Medavie Blue Cross, to be held on the last two weekends of August. Organized to support the Quebec Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, this year participants can choose between two new routes designed by the team at Vélo Québec ÉVÉNEMENTS.
Join this exciting adventure, which will be held in the Quebec region on August 18 and 19, and in the Trois-Rivières region on August 25 and 26. This unique experience enables participants to discover different regions of Quebec, while cycling in complete safety, all for a great cause.
On each weekend, two routes will be available: a two-day, 150-km route or a 75-km route for the one-day package. If they choose, participants will also be able to enjoy longer or shorter routes.
For over 10 years, Medavie Blue Cross has been involved in the MS Bike Tour. The MS Society is proud to thank the company for its fidelity to the cause, and is delighted to highlight its contribution over the years. "Medavie Blue Cross has a long-standing relationship with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and we're proud to support the MS Bike Tour in Quebec," said André Vincent, Vice-President Group Business Quebec, Medavie Blue Cross. "We are committed to building healthy communities and believe that, together, we can improve the lives of those living with this disease and move toward ending MS."
A message from Patricia Paquin
Patricia Paquin, spokesperson for the MS Bike Tour for the 13th year, invites you to join this cycling challenge and give hope to the approximately 20,000 Quebecers who have multiple sclerosis. "To all of you who have decided to combine the joy of riding your bike with the pleasure of contributing to the cause: thank you. Thank you for participating, thank you for giving and thank you for hoping," said Ms. Paquin.
Team up to meet the challenge!
Last year, 1,300 MS Bike Tour participants succeeded in raising $1,350,000 to fund multiple sclerosis research and services for people with MS and their families. Together with your family, friends or colleagues, why not form a TeamMS and help end MS?
