800M World Silver Medallist Gary Reed, World Cup Triathlete
Kirsten Sweetland and 2 x 800M Canadian Champion Rebecca Johnstone

TORONTO, Oct. 21 /CNW/ - This Saturday, every city and every road in Canada and around the globe will become a race day course, as registered runners track and upload their runs for the Nike+ Human Race 10K. Unlike conventional races with set courses and start times, the Nike+ Human Race 10K gives participants the choice to run their 10K anywhere they choose and then upload their run to Nikeplus.com. By combining the virtual running world with the physical, the Nike+ Human Race 10K is open to anyone, anywhere.

For runners preferring a set course and a traditional race environment, Running Room locations across Canada will be hosting group runs. In Vancouver, the group run will occur on Saturday evening at the Denman Running Room. Canadian athletes Simon Whitfield, Gary Reed, Kirsten Sweetland and Rebecca Johnstone will be on hand, cheering on and encouraging runners to the finish line.

By participating in the Nike+ Human Race 10K, participants will not only achieve personal success, but they will be supporting The Lance Armstrong Foundation as Nike will donate a portion of each Canadian registration to the Livestrong Foundation.
