TORONTO, June 27, 2014 /CNW/ - A record number of registered nurses, allied health professionals, board members, nursing students and Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) staff will be part of WorldPride 2014 events this weekend.
Beginning at 5:00 pm today and throughout Saturday, ONA, the union representing front-line registered nurses and allied health professionals as well as nursing student affiliates, will be a presence at the WorldPride Street Fair at its ONA Pride booth. On Sunday, hundreds of ONA participants will be part of the Pride Parade.
ONA continues to be a strong supporter of Pride; a special Pride video can be downloaded on ONA's YouTube channel.
ONA is the union representing 60,000 front-line RNs and allied health professionals and more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in Ontario hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, industry and clinics.
