A third of Quebecers living with cancer (16,500) need to travel for their treatment.

Facing the pain and fear of cancer alone, far from loved ones isn't easy. Some patients may feel more tired and sick.

Fortunately, some 600 Quebecers undergoing cancer treatment in Montreal are welcomed each year by the Canadian Cancer Society.

The following people will be present to talk about how the Jacques-Cantin Lodge enhances the quality of life and alleviates stress, even psychological distress, among its residents:

• Lisa Corbeil, counselling psychologist at the Canadian Cancer Society
• Charlène Fleury, a 25-year old mother of two young children who recently stayed at the Jacques-Cantin Lodge and Maria Rocca Sergnese, living with breast cancer and who stayed many times at the Jacques-Cantin Lodge in 2014 and 2015.
• Claire Boutin, reception volunteer since 2009, who also stayed at the Jacques-Cantin Lodge in 1998 and Claude Champagne, volunteer driver since January 2013
• Sébastien Lévesque, coordinator of the Jacques-Cantin Lodge, Canadian Cancer Society – Quebec Division
