EDMONTON, April 7 /CNW/ - The waiting is over for nearly 300 amateur hockey players who have been busy raising funds to fight Alzheimer's disease in exchange for the opportunity to play with and against a host of NHL alumni.
WHAT: The Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer's is an innovative
fundraiser that offers amateur hockey players the chance to hit

and, based on total dollars raised, get to draft an NHL alumnus
to play on their team.
The weekend will include two FREE special exhibition games that
will give the public a chance to watch their hockey heroes in
action on a "first come, first served" basis. Doors open 30
minutes prior to game time.
