/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Community Health Centre Nurses to Hold Information Picket this Weekend: Invite public to learn more, support the nurses/
GUELPH, ON, Oct. 30, 2014 /CNW/ - The Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Registered Nurse (RN) working at Guelph's Community Health Centre (CHC) are asking for the community to come out and support them as they hold an information picket.
The nurses, who provide primary health care to some of Guelph's most vulnerable residents, will be in front of the Guelph Community Health Centre at 176 Wyndham Street North on Saturday, from 9 am to noon.
Guelph CHC nurses, members of the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) want the community to know all about the care they deliver and the need for the CHC to act to correct inequities in their workloads and remuneration.
ONA is the union representing 60,000 nurse practitioners, registered nurses and allied health professionals, as well as more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, clinics and industry.
