Why: Today, wind energy plays a significant and growing role in delivering clean, safe and affordable energy as Canada's provinces look to build more diverse, robust, and sustainable electricity systems and position themselves to compete in the rapidly advancing low-carbon economy. Maintaining this momentum will require continued commitments to long-term, aggressive targets for wind energy development and a stable policy framework, along with responsible and sustainable industry practices. This year's conference brings these discussions to the heart of emerging new opportunities for wind in Canada, as the Alberta and Saskatchewan governments make renewable energy a central part of their climate change strategies.
