/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Can students learn history with the video game Assassin's Creed?/
May 4, 2018 at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel from 12:30 to 12:45 noon (Conference Room 1, Level 2)
MONTREAL, May 2, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Schools around the world are using educational video games to boost student motivation to learn. These games can help develop skills in math, sciences, coding, and languages. At this press conference, we will describe an exploratory study of how the video game Assassin's Creed can impact learning. Three hundred and twenty-nine students participated in the project. The results show that this approach benefited the students in several ways, and notably, that these benefits varied depending on how the teachers applied the game.
The press conference will take place during the 6th Sommet du numérique en éducation / 6th Digital Education Summit (sommetnumerique.ca) to be held at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel on May 3 and 4, 2018, with an expected attendance of 1,500 people from 40 countries.
Journalists are invited to cover the event on site (a press room will be available).
