TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2012 /CNW/ - LCBO stores that normally open on Sunday will open at noon on Remembrance Day, Sunday, November 11 and remain open until normal closing hours.
The exception is the City of Ottawa, where LCBO stores will not open until 12:30 p.m. due to Remembrance Day events in the National Capital Region.
LCBO agency stores observe their normal hours of business on November 11. Agency stores are locally-owned retail establishments that contract with the LCBO to sell beverage alcohol, along with other products, in communities that are too small to support LCBO stores.
These hours of operation are designed to avoid any conflict with traditional Remembrance Day services, while providing a level of customer service consistent with other retailers during the day.
As with other provincial government offices, LCBO head office in Toronto will be closed on Monday, November 12, in recognition of Remembrance Day. However, the toll-free, bilingual helloLCBO Contact Centre at 1-800-ONT-LCBO (668-5226) or online at hellolcbo.com will be available to customers seeking information on individual store hours on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12. The LCBO reminds customers to please drink responsibly and to never consume alcohol when driving. Learn how to be a responsible host with tips, tools and alcohol-free Mocktail recipes at www.deflatetheelephant.com.
Please bring a reusable bag when shopping at the LCBO and take your empty beverage alcohol containers (large and small glass bottles, PET plastic, Tetra Pak cartons, bag-in-box and cans) to The Beer Store for a full deposit refund.
