TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2016 /CNW/ - On Thursday, September 22, 2016, the Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) is hosting Creating an accessible world: FREE symposium and employment fair as part of International Week of the Deaf (IWD).

The theme for IWD this year is "With sign language, I am equal" and coincides with the 65^th anniversary of the World Federation of the Deaf and commemorates the 10-year anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

What:	Creating an accessible world: Free symposium and employment fair will feature presentations from employees who are Deaf and are thriving in accessible workplaces and employers who have made accessibility a priority.
	Keynote presenters:
	- Emily LaFleur, Crew member, McDonald's Canada
	- Shafiul Hoque, Driver-partner, Uber Canada
	- Sheldon McCormick, General Manager, Uber Toronto
	- Hannah Reisman, President, H3 Network Media Alliance
	There will be a special partnership announcement made at this event.
