MONTREAL, Aug. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - Delhi-Solac Inc., a Quebec company and leading manufacturer in the steel tubing industry in Canada, officially opened its plant in Kings Mountain, North Carolina today.
Solaris Industries Inc., the new wholly owned subsidiary of Delhi-Solac, plans to hire approximately fifty employees over the next two years. Next to a major highway, the 100 000 square feet plant offers ample space for interesting expansion opportunities. "The decision to establish ourselves in the United States, a promising market for us, was part of our long-term strategy and development plan. The choice to locate this new facility in North Carolina was a strategic one in order to adequately meet the needs of our current and future clients", said the President and CEO of Delhi-Solac, Denis Boulais.
Delhi-Solac has been manufacturing steel tubes for more than 40 years. It is renowned for its excellent client service and the high quality of its products. Over the last three years, it has doubled its market share in Canada and solidified its position in several of the markets that it serves. Delhi-Solac already has a number of clients in the United States, notably in such industries as fencing, horse stalls, garage doors, and others. Its products are used in applications like shelters, greenhouses, furniture, medical equipment, scaffolding, automotive parts, shopping carts, store fixtures, etc. In addition to its headquarters in St-Jérôme, Quebec, Delhi-Solac owns another plant in Delhi, Ontario.
