("Pure" or the "Company") (TSX: PUR) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pure Technologies U.S. Inc., has been awarded a contract, valued at approximately $1.8 million, to supply, design and install a SoundPrint® acoustic monitoring system for a major long-span bridge in the United States. The installation of the monitoring equipment is expected to commence in the fourth quarter and continue into the first quarter 2014. Since 2000, the Company has been utilizing its proprietary technologies to detect physical changes in bridge structures and damage to cables caused by corrosion; Pure currently monitors over 25 bridges worldwide.
