Public Service Announcement - RCAF CF-18 Hornets to flyby the Edmonton Eskimos Home Opener
OTTAWA, June 29, 2017 /CNW/ - Two Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornets will conduct a flyby over The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium, in Edmonton, Alberta at around 8:00 p.m., Friday June 30, 2017.
The flyby will commemorate the season opening for the Edmonton Eskimos, and coincide with the singing of the national anthem.
The aircraft will fly over the event at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest point of their route before resuming a higher flying altitude for their return trip to 4 Wing Cold Lake.
At the request of event organizers, RCAF aircraft conduct flybys at a variety of locations and events throughout the year. Flybys by RCAF aircraft are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times.
