WILLIAMS LAKE, BC, May 15, 2014 /CNW/ - National retailers Sport Chek and Bulk Barn will soon be new tenants at Prosperity Ridge Shopping Centre, announced Platform Properties Ltd. today.
"We are pleased to announce that construction at Prosperity Ridge has commenced for these two outstanding retailers," stated Kyle Shury, principal of Platform. "We are looking forward to them opening for business later this fall and joining our existing complement of tenants."
Williams Lake mayor Kerry Cook also expressed her enthusiasm about the development. "It is great news that two new national retailers will make a home in Williams Lake," says Mayor Cook. "New, growing developments such as Prosperity Ridge further cement Williams Lake's position as a regional shopping destination."
In conjunction with the adjacent Wal-Mart Supercentre, both retailers will be joining existing tenants at the centre, including Dollarama, Bosley's, Warehouse One, Subway, amongst others. Upon completion, Prosperity Ridge Shopping Centre will offer over 100,000 square feet of destination retail space to service the community of Williams Lake, and as a retail draw for the broader region.
Platform also announced that they were presently in talks with another large retailer to join the centre, located at 1185 Prosperity Way. "We are currently in dialogue with another large anchor tenant," stated Shury, "and we hope to be in a position where we can make an announcement later this summer."
