Project Management Institute Southern Alberta Chapter Announces Award Finalists
CALGARY, Nov. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - The Project Management Institute Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) released its official list of award finalists today for its annual Project of the Year Awards.
Project Management Institute is the world's leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project, program and portfolio management profession. PMI Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) is a vibrant chapter in the Project Management Institute network, with more than 2,800 active members throughout southern Alberta.
Throughout the event, delegates will take in two full days of industry-leading educational, professional development and networking opportunities in a glamorous Hollywood-themed setting hosted at the BMO Centre. The event will feature famed Canadian Hollywood stars including David Chilton of CBC Television's Dragons Den, comedian Jessica Holmes and David Gray of CBC Television as event MC.
With its primary focus on professional development and growth, the conference also offers a critical opportunity for the industry to come together and recognize the outstanding contributions of project management in southern Alberta through its Project of the Year Awards.
"In addition to delivering world-class education and professional development opportunities, this event is also a key opportunity for our members to connect, engage and honour their peers throughout southern Alberta," said Wayne Rambow, PMI-SAC President. "The opportunity to showcase the breadth, depth and impact of project management in southern Alberta is, perhaps, one of the most exciting aspects of this annual event. The projects showcased and the people who drive them truly impact southern Alberta, and PMI-SAC is honored to recognize them."
Media will be welcomed on-site at the conference and are encouraged to attend the Project of the Year Awards Gala on Monday, November 24th from 6:00pm – 10:00pm as members of the project management industry are recognized for their outstanding contributions to their organizations and communities.
