VANCOUVER, Jan. 28, 2013 /CNW/ - PR Associates is growing its Aboriginal Relations practice with the addition of Lana Eagle as Director of Aboriginal Engagement.
Lana is one of Canada's most respected Aboriginal relations strategists, well-known in the mineral exploration, development and mining sector for her depth of knowledge regarding aboriginal engagement, economic development strategies and for helping companies to earn social license to operate.
"Lana Eagle is one of Canada's most accomplished advisers," says Robert Simpson, President and CEO of PR Associates. "Our clients will benefit from Lana's understanding of Aboriginal politics, economic development and engagement strategies garnered over a career during which she led Electra Gold Ltd., advised Aboriginal leaders and executives about economic development and played a significant role in developing a grassroots Aboriginal mining association."
Her impressive list of accomplishments includes relationship building, economic development, and banking. "I am excited to join PR Associates. The company's pool of talent, collaborative and client-focused culture, and depth of resources in advisory and communications services for the mining industry are unmatched in Canada," Lana says. "I am particularly enthused by PR Associates' experience and vision of Aboriginal inclusion in industry."
Prior to joining PR Associates, Lana worked as an independent consultant for more than 10 years, advising mining and energy companies around consultation and engagement strategies, skills and employment training and economic development.
