Porter Airlines lands year-round service for Quebec City

Service includes three daily round-trip flights

TORONTO, Nov. 26 /CNW/ - Porter Airlines debuts its new Quebec City schedule today, offering year-round service to Toronto City Centre Airport (TCCA). Porter offers three daily roundtrip flights, building on the current seasonal and weekend schedule. This expansion comes as a result of two successful summer seasons, requests from passengers and ongoing strong ticket sales in the region.

Connecting flights for other Porter destinations, including Thunder Bay, Boston, Chicago and New York are also available via Toronto.

"Porter continues to push forward with our service expansion by now offering passengers a daily year-round connection to Quebec City via our convenient TCCA base," said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. "We're proud of Porter's developing network and we look forward to ongoing success in the region."

Quebec City is the epicentre for diverse business interests. The well-developed education, government, insurance and biotechnology sectors are among the leading travel opportunities. The city blends old and new, city living and natural beauty. This world-class destination offers striking architecture, pedestrian-only streets, cultural charm, and undisturbed outdoor landscapes just minutes from downtown. Quebec City is also the gateway to first-rate skiing, snowboarding, and outdoor activities at destinations such as Le Massif in nearby Charlevoix, as well as in picturesque Mont Ste. Anne.

"We are pleased to see Porter's continuing success in this market, and that Porter has decided to increase service based on this," said Pascal Bélanger, president and CEO of l'Aéroport international Jean-Lesage de Québec. "Porter provides a refined service that will appeal to passengers in Quebec. Those travelling between the two cities will appreciate a year-round quick connection between downtown Toronto and Quebec City."

Connecting between Quebec City and Toronto has never been easier or more convenient with Porter's expanded service and convenient hub at TCCA. Passengers can travel from the airport to the heart of downtown in mere moments. Complimentary Porter shuttle buses offer a short transfer to the financial and entertainment districts.
