Playing for a Purpose: Jays Care Foundation Partners with Trivia For Good
TORONTO, May 4, 2016 /CNW/ - Trivia For Good Inc., the disruptive new free-to-play mobile trivia app that offers $100,000 cash prizes, today announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with Jays Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Canadian launch of Trivia For Good will commence on May 9th with five separate $100,000 contests over a ten-week period. The launch of the first contest will be the catalyst for participants to be engaged in order to win significant cash prizes, while paying forward a portion of the proceeds to charity. The prize pools will increase to $1Million US per contest with the global launch, planned for July of this year.
"Trivia For Good is thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with Jays Care Foundation," said Ronald Hulse, President and COO. "Like our other partners, Right To Play and Els for Autism, we recognize the benefits of ensuring that children, regardless of the challenges they face, are provided with opportunities to be actively engaged in peaceful play, sport and camaraderie"
"Jays Care Foundation is pleased to partner with Trivia For Good," said Robert Witchel, Executive Director, Jays Care Foundation. "The funds raised through this partnership will help us achieve our vision of a level playing field for all children across Canada."
Jays Care Foundation is the third major charity to enter into a relationship with Trivia For Good because of the platform's ability to attract large audiences through its fun, engaging and rewarding trivia game contest played every other week.
"It also addresses the ineffectiveness of today's digital mobile advertising by circumventing ad block and opt out" said Steven Glaser, CEO of Trivia For Good. "Through our unique gaming format, the mobile app attracts a receptive audience of consumers who will review content to compete for unprecedented cash prizes, guaranteeing visibility of important corporate messaging."
"For our contest sponsors, Trivia For Good makes smart marketing sense as the deep consumer interaction with content allows for immersion into their brand in both a subtle and fun way," said Glaser.
"Playing games and giving back are no longer mutually exclusive – now interested players have the opportunity to do both."
"We have exciting ideas focused around the Olympics and look forward to announcing larger prizes surrounding these games in the very near future, so stay tuned," he said.
The Trivia For Good app is currently available in the Google Play store, or through registering at TriviaforGood.com, and the IOS version is slated for release in mid-June 2016.
Trivia For Good™ is a free-to-play, global, bi-weekly trivia contest that offers players the chance to win huge cash prize – of which 10% or more is subsequently donated to registered global charities. The philosophy of the contest and app is to provide players with the opportunity to "Play for a Purpose."
