Musical entertainment, themed presentations and culinary demonstrations
also on the agenda
MONTRÉAL, June 14, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - For the third year in a row, Place Ville Marie invites Montrealers to urban gatherings on the Esplanade all summer long at its popular public market. Every Thursday at lunchtime, some 15 exhibitors will set up shop to offer a wide range of fresh products with a local flavour. To spice everything up, the market will also feature themed presentations, culinary demonstrations and musical entertainment in a variety of styles—a little bit of everything for your taste buds, eyes and ears!
Whether it's to indulge in a special lunch-time treat, stock up on ingredients for supper, or get to know a passionate group of craftspeople and culinary professionals, you're sure to find something that makes you smile at the public market on the Place Ville Marie Esplanade!
Following is the list of participating merchants:
The public market will host a rotating music line-up featuring Javis Mendez (Latin), Whip Cream (Jazz and Pop Rock), plus Virginie Cummins & Lounge Attitude (World).
This year's themed presentations have been developed in partnership with a nutritionist from Nautilus Plus (Groceries 101; Boosting Productivity at Work; Listening to Your Body's Hunger and Satiety Signals; Health Eating for On-the-Go People) and Les amies de la Terre (Eating Seasonally and Limiting Food Waste).
The culinary demonstrations are courtesy of Bob le Chef (Get Re-acquainted with Your Barbecue; No Electricity? No Problem! Recipes That Require No Cooking) and Jonathan Garnier (Paella on the Barbecue).

About Place Ville Marie
An architectural jewel designed by I.M. Pei (creator of the famous pyramid at the Louvre) and Henry N. Cobb, the Place Ville Marie complex stands out with its famous cruciform tower, the highest of its type in Canada at 188 metres (617 feet). Still very contemporary, Place Ville Marie has become, as suggested by the visionary spirits who conceived it in 1962, a "city within a city" and forms the heart of Montréal's business centre. The Galerie Place Ville Marie still moves to the beat of the major trends while creating a warm, dynamic space. Nearly 75 renowned restaurants and shops can be found there.
