MONTREAL, Oct. 16, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban launched today a new online hub for his off-ice endeavours. The website, PKSubban.com is a multimedia platform that regroups the various facets of the man in the media: hockey player, entrepreneur, style icon and philanthropist. Through a collection of images, videos and other dynamic content, it tells the story of a man who is closing the gap between what is expected and what is possible.
The NHL season has only just begun, but Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban has already scored big in the media for his recent commitment to the Montreal Children's Hospital. The new face for Canadian retailer RW&CO.'s suiting campaign, Subban demonstrated tremendous strength of character when he pledged $10 million dollars over the next seven years to the aforementioned foundation. This partnership will include the creation of P.K.'s Helping Hand, a fund dedicated to assisting families financially affected by a child's illness.
In fact, Subban, 26, has been giving back long before earning his place in the spotlight with the Canadiens. It's a side of him that can be overshadowed by his bold game and personality, but it's one that he is most proud of. Therefore, available for purchase at the launch event will be 200 limited edition t-shirts at a cost of $200, with all proceeds going to the MCHF. His website will also be a direct channel for donations to the Foundation, in the hope of inspiring other members of the community to continue the movement, albeit in their own way.
PKSubban.com is thus a representation of the reach the hockey star wishes to have beyond the rink. "Many people know me as a hockey player," says Subban, "but there are so many other things that I am passionate about and continue to explore. My website, PKSubban.com will allow people to see the many different sides of my life."

And to create it, P.K. Subban did what he knows best: call upon his family and friends, including Mad Studios in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and his team at PKSS Management, led by sister Natasha. Challenged with understanding and executing P.K.'s vision, the team jumped into the play and came together up with ideas to make the website big and bold, a true reflection of the man behind the No. 76 jersey.
"The team over at Mad Studios and PKSS Management were instrumental in helping to make this all possible," says Subban, who is entering his sixth season with the Canadiens. "There were many times, especially during the season, that I needed the team to take the ball and run with it. The site speaks to the their hard work and commitment. I couldn't be prouder of the team."
Fans and fellow sports and style enthusiasts or philanthropists can keep up with the Subban story by signing up for updates on PKSubban.com. There are many more big plays underway.
