TORONTO, Jan. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Pilatus Centre Canada is pleased to announce the delivery of a brand new Pilatus PC-12 NG to American Iron and Metal (AIM), an established operator in Montreal, Quebec.
"AIM engaged in extensive research and ultimately determined that the Pilatus PC-12 was the best aircraft to service their varied needs," said Stan Kuliavas, Director of Sales at Pilatus Centre Canada.
According to David Wickware, Director of Aviation at AIM, reasons for selecting the PC-12 included "cabin size, comfort, a robust and advanced avionics suite, but most of all, the economies both in purchase price as well as low operational costs." Wickware goes on to say that "[the Pilatus PC-12] can economically complete our 1-2 hour range trips and short field sorties. It can transport 6-8 people 300-500nm almost as quickly as our [Falcon 2000] jet but at an economy that allows us to use the leverage of business aviation deeper into the company."
Ron Black, Chief Operating Officer at AIM, states, "we really like the Pilatus PC-12 as it allows us to access locations we previously could not reach efficiently, and do so in a very safe manner with great operating economics. We see the PC-12 as a complimentary addition to our current fleet of a helicopter and large jet."
"Canada is home to almost ten percent of the worldwide fleet of PC-12's," says Kuliavas, "a testament to the PC-12's ability to efficiently service Canada's vast geography."
