<p><span class="xn-location">TORONTO</span>, <span class="xn-chron">April 14</span> /CNW/ - GetInvolved.ca's 'Power of the Hour' campaign will gather Canada's top volunteer community leaders, CEOs and top executives from the Country's most influential corporations to kick-off Canadian National Volunteer Week with a powerful photo-op and guerrilla volunteer recruitment campaign.</p>
<p>Since their January launch, Power of the Hour has exceeded their goal of 2,000,000 volunteer hours for 2010 and is proud to announce they currently stand at 2.2 million volunteer hours pledged.</p>

Amanda, dressed in a business suit, will literally stand on her
soapbox and demand Bay Street businesses and executives get on
board with Power of the Hour, pledging volunteer hours in honour
of National Volunteer Week (April 18-24, 2010.) Mike Tierney,
President of UPS & Chair of the Corporate Council on Volunteering
will join Amanda and sign-up spectators to make a 'Power Pledge'
of volunteer hours in support of National Volunteer Week.
