TORONTO, Dec. 21, 2012 /CNW/ - Alex Haditaghi started his day like any other a week ago until his brand new Mercedes stalled...just outside The Scott Mission. After calling roadside assistance he looked up and realized where he was. He was sitting in front of the very same place that helped him and his family when they arrived in Canada 25 years ago.
He was touched by the memory of being helped by The Scott Mission and decided he would do something to help those in need this Christmas. At that very moment, his car started! He took that as a sign and committed to donating a minimum of 1000 turkeys to those in need.
Tomorrow, Alex Haditaghi and his team of volunteers (www.Yes.ca) will be outside The Scott Mission handing out turkeys to 1400 pre-registered recipients.
