TORONTO , Oct. 30 /CNW/ - Last night, the top names and the best of the fashion and beauty industry converged in Toronto for the inaugural Canadian P&G Beauty Awards. Hosted by Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated Canadian screenwriter and actress Nia Vardalos at The Carlu in Toronto , the awards recognized top editorial work that brings beauty, grooming and fashion news to Canadian readers as well as make-up artists, hair stylists, photographers and models.

The high-style cocktail event attracted a glamorous star-studded crowd including Valerie Bertinelli; Fashion Television's Jeanne Beker ; David Clemmer , star of the W Network's "Style by Jury"; MTV News host and producer, Aliya-Jasmine Sovani; fashion designer Joeffer Caoc and the reigning Canada's Next Top Model, Meaghan Waller .
