PETRO UNO RESOURCES LTD. ANNOUNCES COMMENCEMENT OF SUMMER DRILLING PROGRAM IN
THE VIKING RESOURCE PLAY IN WEST CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN

CALGARY, Aug. 19 /CNW/ - Petro Uno Resources Ltd. ("Petro Uno" or the "Company") (TSXV: PUP.V) is pleased to announce that it plans to commence its next drilling program in the Kindersley area on Saturday August 21, 2010, weather permitting. This drilling program was originally planned to commence on August 1, but due to unseasonably wet conditions, it was postponed for three weeks.

This drilling program is planned to consist of a total of 9 (4.25 gross) horizontal wells, all of which will target the Viking Formation for light oil production. This will bring the total wells drilled in 2010 to 18 (8.25 net to Petro Uno). The drilling program is anticipated to take approximately 36 days and the subsequent completion operations will commence immediately following the drilling, contingent on weather conditions, and equipment scheduling. All wells are anticipated to be on production by early October. Plans are also in place to begin a fall drilling program in early October that will see Petro Uno drill an additional 7-9 gross wells (3.5-4.5 net) beginning in mid October. These wells will subsequently be completed in November, and are expected to be on production by early December. By the end of 2010, Petro Uno plans to have an inventory of 25-27 wells (gross) on production.
