PEI 2014 Celebration Zone hosting Alberta Week July 14 to 20

CHARLOTTETOWN, July 10, 2014 /CNW/ - The PEI 2014 Celebration Zone will host the province of Alberta, a partner of the PEI 2014 celebrations, during Alberta Week July 14 to 20.  Alberta's vibrant culture and exceptional performing arts community will be showcased throughout the week at the free, family-friendly Celebration Zone. The week will include a performance by platinum-selling country star, Paul Brandt.

"We're thrilled to be participating in the PEI 2014 celebrations to showcase the incredible diversity of our province's culture," said Heather Klimchuk, Minister of Alberta Culture.  "Culture is what helps define us as a province and makes us such an attractive place to live, work and visit.  From performances by established and emerging artists to heritage demonstrations and culinary treats -- Alberta Week will help paint a picture of who we are and provide a sampling of all that our province has to offer."
