PaySavvy, a national online payroll company headquartered in Vancouver, is the latest of a number of local supporters, including the B.C. government, to pledge their support in building a new $31 million Ronald McDonald House (the second-largest in Canada).
VANCOUVER, March 13, 2013 /CNW/ - PaySavvy Canada Inc. is proud to announce a partnership formed with Ronald McDonald House BC (RMH BC). Under the terms of the partnership, PaySavvy will be donating a portion of their revenue from all new clients acquired during a 12 month period (March 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014). This money will be allocated for the new home RMH BC is building. At a total cost of $31 million, the new home will provide room for up to 73 families, making this the second-largest Ronald McDonald House project in Canada.
PaySavvy is the latest in a series of local community members to offer support. Among other supporters is the B.C. government, who will be matching donations up to $13.3 million, Variety BC, who donated $1 millon, and a number of notable Vancouver philanthropists, including the Sekhon Family.
This partnership with RMH BC is part of PaySavvy's ongoing commitment to community involvement. PaySavvy also organizes a monthly neighbourhood lunch program in the Downtown Eastside (which will provide 5000 lunches to the less fortunate in the DTES by the end of 2013), rewards clients who go completely paperless, and offers employees a transit subsidy.
